A competence in road and freeway construction that is the envy of their rivals has seen an opportunity to tender for a major alliance project leading to the immediate need for an experienced Design Manager.

You will be part of the project leadership team managing front-end consultant coordination, as well as hands-on design management through construction delivery. The key responsibilities of this role are:

• Engage and manage consulting engineers,
• Be the interface for the information flow between the design and construction teams,
• Manage the design of the project to budget at pre and post contract stage,
• Initiate suitable changes to design to facilitate new user needs or improved cost or material performance
• Seek innovative design solutions to deliver best for project outcomes
